Garbage Truck

Garbage trucks have evolved over the years. With many changes to the types of trucks manufactured and where the garbage is stored. Here are 4 of the most common types of garbage trucks.

Front Loader Garbage Trucks

Front loader garbage trucks will help you with massive industrial and commercial properties. Sometimes called dumpsters, they can collect industrial waste materials. They come with steel forks which are controlled hydraulically. They can lift containers weighing approximately 8000 lbs. and hold trash of up to 40 cubic yards.

Side Loader Garbage Trucks

Two types of side loaders are available. One with automatic robotic arms that collect the garbage and second is operated manually. The automated side loaders are slightly more expensive. They can collect rubbish from almost 1500 homes each day.

Rear Loader Garbage Trucks

For both commercial and residential clients, rear loaders are very popular. Their large opening at the back allows for the collection of massive quantities of waste. Most rear loader garbage trucks can accommodate trash from as many as 800 to 850 homes.

Roll Off Trucks

Their sturdy construction makes them a great fit for handling heavy materials. They can pick up approximately 20,000 lbs. which is equal to 10 tons. Because of their higher efficiency they stand out among the others because of the quantity of the trash they can carry.
